Project Description:
This project focused on the large-scale redesign of enterprise partner portals for Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Limited (BAGIC), one of India’s leading general insurance providers. The initiative was part of a multimillion-dollar digital transformation program aimed at modernizing over 20+ B2B2C portals spanning 11 distinct lines of business, including motor, health, travel, and commercial insurance.
The core challenge was the fragmentation of partner experiences across multiple portals, each built independently with inconsistent workflows, duplicated functionality, and complex navigation. This resulted in operational inefficiencies, increased training overhead, and a disjointed experience for agents, brokers, and partners managing insurance products and customer interactions.
The project involved reimagining these disparate systems into a cohesive, scalable, and unified platform experience. Through deep stakeholder collaboration, workflow analysis, and user research, key pain points across partner journeys - such as policy issuance, claims processing, and customer management - were identified and streamlined. A strong systems-thinking approach was applied to standardize interaction patterns, unify design language, and create reusable components across platforms.
One of the key challenges was balancing legacy system constraints with the need for modernization at scale. This was addressed through a phased transformation strategy, introducing modular design frameworks and scalable UX patterns that could be implemented incrementally without disrupting ongoing business operations.
The outcome was a significantly improved enterprise ecosystem that enhanced usability, reduced operational friction, and enabled faster, more efficient partner workflows. The transformation not only improved the user experience but also strengthened business efficiency and scalability across BAGIC’s digital infrastructure.
